PE Teacher – K-4

We are seeking an outstanding physical education teacher for our students.

 

The right candidate will fit in and become a significant contributor within a larger and expanding physical education/athletics department.

We seek someone with recent experience, including an emphasis on elementary grade level physical education, a strong understanding of what makes an excellent curriculum, strong skills in communicating with parents both in writing and in conversation, and the interpersonal skills necessary to work in an enjoyable, supportive, collaborative, and team-based faculty environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

·      Teach P.E. to lower school students in an age-appropriate style

·      Coach various sports

 

Qualifications

 

·      BA and three years experience in a similar position preferred

·      Teaching credential preferred

·      Ability to step in where needed at the school

·      Must love children, have a ready smile and encouraging words

·      Ability to communicate effectively with all constituents in a school environment

 

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

 

·      Regularly sit, talk, run, move equipment, hear and visually interact with students

·      Be able to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs

·      Regularly use close and distance vision

·      Work at a desk and computer screen

·      Turn, bend, reach and occasionally use a ladder

·      Work in a traditional climate controlled office environment and outside in typical San Francisco weather

 

 

The salary range for this position is $70,441- $90,000 annually based on prior experience, education, and position requirements. Medical, dental, life, and long-term disability and retirement benefits are provided.
