Non-exempt (hourly) temporary position during the school year – approximately Mid-June to November 2023
Summary:
Reporting to the Director of College Counseling, the College Counseling Coordinator will maintain the reception area, and help with office data management systems, while also playing a key role in welcoming students, college representatives, guests and community members.
Job Responsibilities:
The College Counseling Office (CCO) Coordinator is the first point of contact with students, families, and admission representatives, and therefore plays a critical role in supporting the work of the three full-time college counselors. Will maintain calendars, supervise the reception area, and general office management. As such, the ideal candidate will bring a sense of humor, warmth, and enthusiasm for working with students to the job, in addition to proficiency in database management. The CCO Coordinator takes primary responsibility for processing application documents, and uploading to CRM (Scoir).
This position provides administrative support for all parts of this office and its programming.
Upload test scores, transcripts and other official documents in support of college applications.
Support and manage CCO calendars, schedule appointments for college counselors, as needed, as well as maintain the College Rep Visit calendar. This includes scheduling and coordination of parent and student appointments, College representative on-site visits, meetings, workshops and conferences.
Office management: organize office space, clerical work, file & data management, order office supplies, and work with IT and Maintenance Requests, as needed.
Often serve as the first point of contact for students, teachers, families and college representatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree preferred, HS degree required.
2 years of experience working in schools, ideally high schools.
Strong organizational abilities: Time management, planning, and prioritization skills
Demonstrated experience with record keeping and scheduling.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to respond to changing demands, meet deadlines, diplomacy, discretion, punctuality, and a solutions-oriented approach.
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, Google Calendar

Demonstrated flexibility to respond to changing demands, priorities, and ability to handle deadlines and pressure with a commitment to high standards.
Other Requirements:
Must be fully vaccinated (and boosted) against Covid-19 and show proof of negative TB test within the last four years in addition to participation in background screening.
