Position:  Student Activities Assistant

Reports to: Lower School Division Head

Marin Country Day School in Corte Madera, CA seeks a part-time (max 19 hours/week) Student Activities Assistant to supervise and engage with students during recess and lunch and support our teachers each day.  This is an excellent opportunity to broaden educational skills as part of a vibrant learning community.

Situated on 35 acres adjacent to the Ring Mountain Nature Preserve, our indoor/outdoor campus has been fully utilized to provide the safest possible environment for students, teachers and staff.  We strictly adhere to COVID-19 safety procedures including daily health checks for students, teachers and staff and universal mask wearing.  High-grade air filters are present in all classrooms and we have increased the number of outdoor teaching spaces on campus. Students are in stable groups (cohorts) and our schedule limits the total number of students on campus each day.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Supervise and engage students during lunch and recess periods
  • Mediate conflict resolution between students
  • Support and monitor adherence to school’s COVID-19 safety procedures
  • Assist teachers and Division Head as needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children as a childcare provider, teacher, substitute, camp counselor, extracurricular program coordinator or a related field
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dependable, responsible and reliable
