Reports to: Director of Auxiliary Programs

Hours: 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday

SCHOOL DESCRIPTION
Marin Horizon School, located in Mill Valley, CA, is a progressive, toddler – 8th grade school with

approximately 280 students. The Montessori-inspired, inquiry-based curriculum focuses heavily on

hands-on, collaborative learning in order to develop students’ academic and social-emotional skills. The

school views character education and self-advocacy as integral to growth in and out of the classroom

and acknowledges diversity, equity, and inclusion as necessary elements of a strong community.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Supervise and engage students in the after-school program, overseeing art projects, outdoor games, and homework, all within a safe and supportive environment.
• Manage classroom dynamics and transitions proactively and thoughtfully.
• Oversee nap time and snack time routines efficiently.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and follow reporting procedures

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experience leading after-school programs with youth, demonstrating creativity and effective engagement techniques both inside and outside the classroom.
• Proficiency in classroom management techniques that support a positive learning environment and enhance student participation.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while prioritizing the well-being and safety of students.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and fellow staff members.

Hours: 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. , Monday to Friday.

Pay: $24/hour
