Since its founding in 1977, Marin Horizon has been providing a challenging and robust academic program combined with character-enhancing life skills. Marin Horizon is a place of creative, active learning built around our commitment to developing each student’s confident voice. Marin Horizon serves about 300 students from toddler through grade eight and is located in Mill Valley, CA.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Marin Horizon seeks a collaborative and innovative Director of Auxiliary Programs for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience leading auxiliary programs in a school setting. The position requires excellent collaborative and communication skills, a flexible and positive attitude, and the vision necessary to help create dynamic, safe, and high-quality auxiliary programs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee, develop, and lead the school’s after-school and enrichment programs. This includes creating programs, hiring and supervising staff and outside vendors, managing registration and enrollment, and communicating with families.
  • Lead the school’s outdoor education program, including scheduling and staffing trips for all grades, organizing chaperones, procuring supplies, managing transportation logistics, and communicating with families.
  • Oversee, develop, and lead the school’s summer camp program. This includes creating programs, hiring and supervising staff, marketing the camp, managing registration and enrollment, and communicating with families.
  • Create and manage the eighth grade service-learning schedule.
  • Assist the Athletic Director with transportation planning.
  • Coordinate substitute teachers for absent teachers.
  • Assist with daily school drop-off and pick-up procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience leading or managing other people
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • Anticipated salary range between $65,000 and $78,000 (full-time), depending on education and experience
  • Excellent benefits package
