Homework Cafe Coordinator (30 Hours, 12:00-6:15 pm Monday-Friday)

Reports to Upper School Division Head

 

Marin Country Day School seeks an educator who is passionate about providing after school care to middle school students (grades 5-8) in a warm and caring setting. The Homework Cafe Coordinator should embody the ideal of the life-long learner and have strong communication and collaboration skills in addition to a background or interest in cultural competency. Responsibilities

 

Hire and supervise Homework Cafe staff
Develop and provide program policy and procedural documents to program staff
Train program staff and conduct performance evaluations
Lead meetings with program staff
Schedule and organize daily activities for staff to carry out; review time sheets
Coordinate program communications
Provide information about program to new families
Maintain communications with parents and school concerning attendance and transportation
Maintain daily attendance /tracking daily participation for each child
Supervise students attending the program
Supervise and assist with snack planning, preparation and serving
Plan and implement program budget
Purchase of all equipment and supplies and coordination of ordering program snacks
Maintain supply inventory
Contribute to the development of the program
Maintain Emergency protocols for after school
Provide front desk lunch coverage daily at the beginning of the shift
Requirements

Experience working with middle school students in a school, afterschool, or camp setting
Bachelors Degree required
Supervisory experience preferred
