Summary
The Digital Producer position works collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications
team to serve a large range of internal and external constituents (professional staff, teachers,
parents, trustees and alumni, among others). The Digital Producer manages and supports
storytelling efforts by generating creative video, photography, and social media content that
authentically speaks to the school’s mission and values. This person is also the key producer
of HeadWay, the school’s podcast. The Digital Producer reports to the Director of Marketing
and Communications.
Responsibilities
● Manage HRS social media channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook
● Track digital engagement and share results
● Create original content and strategies that increase engagement with our social media
channels
● Generate, edit, and distribute creative photography, videos, and social media content
that showcase life at Head-Royce
● Produce and edit monthly episodes during the school year of HeadWay, the school
podcast
● Participate in planning meetings with internal constituents to provide thought
leadership on projects, programs, and materials that showcase events and happenings
at Head-Royce
● Partner with divisions and various departments across campus, including Admissions,
Advancement, CCE, Heads Up, etc., to showcase events and happenings at
Head-Royce
● Collaborate with our MarComm team and other constituents as needed
Skills and Qualifications
● A minimum of four in a marketing or communications role, with specific experience
managing social media platforms and producing podcasts. Previous experience in an
independent school and/or non-profit setting is a plus
● Bachelor’s degree required—specialty in journalism, digital media, or communications
preferred
● Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact
cooperatively and collaboratively
● An eye for design and a high level of attention to detail and follow-through
● Able to work independently while enjoying a collaborative work environment
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a proven track record of prioritizing
and completing multiple tasks within firm deadlines, while remaining flexible and
composed in response to changing demands
● Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a proactive approach to
managing workflows and taking initiative
High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion, including experience handling
confidential information
● Positive attitude, strong work ethic, a genuine enthusiasm for working with students,
and for being part of an academic community
● Sensitivity to equity and inclusion and a demonstrated ability to engage effectively
with diverse racial, ethnic, gender, cultural, and disabled populations
● Eye for design and visual storytelling, with experience creating engaging,
mission-aligned content
● Experience filming and editing video content; Ability to work in Adobe Premiere Pro or
comparable editing platform
● Basic familiarity with Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and
Photoshop; Deep knowledge of these platforms, a plus
● Experience with RiversideFM or a similar podcast publishing platform
● Strong technical skills in a Mac environment and with Google Workspace (Gmail,
Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
● Experience with content management systems, website back ends, and marketing
platforms; experience with Veracross, Interactive Schools, and HubSpot, a plus
● Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support and promote
school-wide events as needed

● Work in an environment dealing with a wide variety of priorities and deadlines, as well
as a diverse array of stakeholders
● Work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time
● Work primarily in a traditional climate-controlled environment
● Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
● Ability to provide Livescan and TB clearance
$82,000 – $95,000 a year

HRS is unable to provide immigration sponsorships such as H1B Visas.
