Middle School Theater Arts Teacher 2023-2024, (Full Time with flexibility of 75%)

The Visual and Performing Arts Department seeks an innovative Middle School Theater Arts educator to inspire and engage our students in an explorative curriculum that promotes collaborative learning and skill development. Specifically, this teacher reports to the VPA Department Head and Division Head while working closely with other Arts teachers and with grade level colleagues. The Middle School Theater Arts Teacher will teach classes in the fundamentals of acting, improvisation, and scene creation, as well as introductory work in a variety of areas, which could include voice and speech, sound and costume design, stage combat, and classical text. This teacher will also direct the annual Middle School Musical.

Key Qualifications:

Prior teaching experience and/or commensurate professional experience
Proficiency with technology in and out of the classroom
Undergraduate degree, B.A. or B.F.A., in Theater Arts preferred
