Preparing Your Materials

This interactive workshop will help participants explore how their materials (e.g. cover letter, resume, and educational philosophy) can help tell their story of why they would be a compelling candidate for an opening within an independent school. Topics include hiring trends, contingency vs retained searches, formatting one’s materials, items to include (and exclude) in a resume and cover letter, and the importance of personalization. Participants will walk away from the workshop with tangible tips they can incorporate into their materials for their next job search.

Search Consultants from StratéGenius are offering the opportunity to meet one-on-one or in small groups with participants in-person to provide personalized feedback on their resume and cover letter. There will be a virtual option for those who are unable to attend in person or prefer to meet online.

CHAPTER III 

Preparing for the Interview

The final workshop in this series focuses on how candidates can properly prepare for and navigate their next interview, whether the interview is virtual or in-person.
