The Music and The Movement is a multimedia presentation featuring hip-hop author Bakari Kitwana and hip-hop artist/archivist Akua Naru. The event will examine the role of art in activist movements from the civil rights movement to hip-hop—as hip-hop celebrates its 50th Anniversary. Part performance and part discussion, the program examines love and wellness, peace and justice, art as liberation
