Pay Range: $21,000 – $30,000

Position Overview
The Long-Term Substitute Learning Specialist serves as a key member of the Learning Resource Program (LRP) team, providing continuity of learning support services for students in grades 5–8 during a temporary staffing period. This role focuses on implementing existing learning support plans, maintaining student progress, and collaborating closely with faculty and families to ensure consistency of support and instruction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide for the safety and well-being of students through the creation of supportive, predictable, and inclusive learning environments
- Work with an assigned caseload of students, delivering direct support through one-to-one, small-group, and/or push-in instruction aligned with existing plans
- Implement established learning support strategies, accommodations, and interventions to support student progress
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality concerning students and families at all times
Experience and Qualifications
Required or Strongly Preferred
- Training and experience in learning disabilities, educational therapy, special education, or a related field
- Knowledge of executive functioning, attention, memory, and related learning differences, and their impact on academic performance
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively in a temporary role
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and parents
