DESCRIPTION:  \nDate: Saturday\, March 21\, 2026 \nTime: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM \nLocation: Julia Morgan School for Girls\, Oakland\, CA \n  \nRegister Now! \nJoin the NoCA PoCIS community this spring as we continue our theme\, Roots to Resilience\, United in Purpose. Together\, we’ll celebrate the brilliance\, leadership\, and resilience of educators of color across our region while uplifting our shared work\, collective voice\, and the joy we create in community. \n  \nThe day will feature: \n\nAn inspiring keynote from Elena Aguilar\, a renowned educator\, coach\, and advocate for transformational school communities\nEngaging workshops facilitated by POC educators\, designed to deepen understanding and build skills for creating inclusive\, student-centered communities\nA closing social hour to connect\, reflect\, and recharge together\n\n  \nWe invite educators of color to share their expertise by submitting a workshop proposal aligned with our theme. Proposals should inspire action\, offer meaningful takeaways\, and speak to the challenges and opportunities facing people of color in our schools. Workshop proposals are due Friday\, January 9. Submit your proposal here. \n  \nMember School Pricing (View our current member schools here) \n\nEarly Bird (Dec 1–Jan 16): $50 (includes a free conference T-shirt)\nGeneral Registration (Jan 16–Feb 28): $60\nLate Registration (Mar 1–Mar 20): $70\n\n  \nPoCIS of NorCal is committed to making this conference accessible to all.
