Presidio Hill School seeks an experienced primary grades teacher to teach SECOND GRADE, to start 2014-15.
Candidates should enjoy working with young students and have experience teaching all aspects of a well-rounded second grade program, including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. We are seeking a teacher who is warm and approachable for parents and students, and who is committed to meeting the full range of students’ needs, both academic and social/emotional. Candidates should work well in a team setting with other teachers, parents and administrators. Candidates should also be comfortable working with students with a variety of learning styles.
Candidates should be passionate about their profession and have a minimum of two years’ teaching experience. We are particularly interested in candidates with training and/or experience in Responsive Classroom approach and TERC Investigations math curriculum. Any additional experiences or training related to programs addressing mindfulness, differentiated learning, and healthy social development is also desired.
