Middle School Science/Math Teacher (STEM Educator)

The Nueva School, located in the Bay Area of Northern California and founded in 1967, is an internationally recognized independent PK-9 school (expanding to PK-12) serving gifted and talented students. The Position:
The Nueva School seeks a full-time middle school science and math teacher. This STEM educator will teach earth, space, and physical science as well as a section of math. Additional responsibilities include advising students, sponsoring a weekly elective course, offering an academy (enrichment-type course), traveling overnight with students to Crow Canyon or Washington DC, and facilitating a weekly literature club.

Position Qualifications:
  Bachelor's and advanced university degree, with a minimum of three years teaching experience
  Successful teaching experience in elementary, middle, secondary school and/or university
  Demonstrated mastery in area of study and ability to teach within and across academic disciplines
  Excellent communication skills
  A desire to integrate curriculum with other subjects and to teach collaboratively
