We seek a dynamic full time middle school mathematics teacher for the fall of 2014. This professional is responsible for teaching accelerated courses, including algebra I, geometry, and algebra II / trigonometry. The successful candidate must be able to transfer his/her enthusiasm for and deep understanding of mathematics to students using multiple modalities and authentic applications. Differentiation, such that students are performing within their developmental level, and a meaningful approach to homework are expected instructional strategies.
The ideal candidate must have at least an undergraduate degree in mathematics, a CA credential, and mathematics teaching experience at an independent school that included extensive technology integration and implementation of 21st Century instructional strategies. S/he must also demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills, creativity, and a high degree of self-direction and flexibility.
