Athenian Middle School is seeking a ¾-time faculty appointment teaching French 1A, 1B, and 1C and one Middle School elective per trimester. Athenian Middle School teachers also teach a percentage of focus days commensurate with their teaching percentages. Assumes all duties of a Middle School teacher.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching French at the middle school level (minimum three years); fluency in French and English (written and oral); extensive knowledge of French literature and culture.
Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years teaching experience in relevant field is required; master's degree and/or teaching credential is preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to education for democracy, justice, equity, inclusion, community service, and environmental stewardship
Energy and enthusiasm for young adolescents. Positive attitude. Ability to collaborate across disciplines.
