STAFF ACCOUNTANT 12 Month Employee, Non-Exempt


 Accounts Payable: o Process vendor invoices for check runs (weekly) o Process and deposit physical checks received o Distribute monthly AMEX statements then reconcile Amex purchases with receipts and record proper budget codes for every purchase o Verify new vendor information generate, distribute year-end 1099 forms.

 Accounts Receivable: o Enter After-School and Summer program billing into billing system (TADS) as needed.

 Account Reconciliations o Support the Controller and Director of Finance and Operations with account reconciliations, preparation of audit work papers and other projects.

 Payroll: o Set up semi-monthly payroll in payroll system (Paycom) o Post non-exempt employee timecard information o Post time-off requests (vacation, sick, personal) o Submit documentation to Controller for review o Distribute semi-monthly paychecks to employees, contracted vendors, and year-end W2 o Enter/manage employee benefit deductions

 Personnel/Benefits: o Onboarding of new employees

 Provide onboarding package including benefit listing, payroll bank deposit form STAFF ACCOUNTANT May 2019

 Coordinate with insurance brokers to manage employee online enrollment (Maxwell Health) of health, vision, life insurance, LTD benefits

 Manually manage enrollment of Delta Dental and supplemental plans. o Reconcile monthly benefits enrollment with monthly benefit invoices. o Prepare TIAA 403b employee contributions after each payroll, prepare TIAA 403b employer contribution once a month

 Note: duties may change with changes / additions to staff. Skills, Experience and Qualities:

 Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and be flexible to changing tasks

 Desire to be a part of a small, effective team

 Experience reconciling sub-ledger information to general ledger

 Ability to work closely with the Controller and Director of Finance and Operations.

 Experience working with confidential information

 Experience working at independent schools preferred.

 Accounting degree preferred, but not absolutely necessary. Compensation: The school offers competitive compensation based on prior experience and position requirements.
