Marin Academy seeks a Spanish teacher (or teachers) for two part-time or one full-time family leave positions beginning in October 2020 and January 2021, respectively. The position available from October 20-December 18th involves teaching two sections of Spanish V/VI to juniors and seniors either remotely or on campus. We also have a position beginning in January involving two sections of either Spanish II or Spanish III. At this point, we do not know whether the spring courses will be on campus or virtual, so flexibility is desired. As there is a potential for some or all of these classes to be online, we are especially interested in candidates who have some fluency with Canvas, Zoom, Google Docs, and other online applications.
Marin Academy’s mission statement “asks every individual to think, question, and create in an environment of encouragement and compassion, and challenges each person to accept the responsibilities posed by education in a democratic society.” The school is a vibrant and diverse community, and students and teachers alike continue to work towards the furthering of an inclusive and supportive school. Candidates should have the inclination and experience to work in a diverse community focused on issues of equity and social justice.
Marin Academy is an equal opportunity employer committed to excellence through diversity, and people of color and women are encouraged to apply. For more information about Marin Academy, please visit our website (www.ma.org).
