Job description

Serendipity School is seeking a passionate and creative Innovation & Technology Teacher to join our progressive elementary program. This is a full-time position working with elementary students in our Innovation Lab and classrooms, guiding children through hands-on design, engineering, and problem-solving experiences.

About the Role

Our Innovation and Technology program embraces a child’s sense of wonder and possibility, instilling the skills needed to thrive in a technological and creative world. Students engage in low-tech and high-tech innovation—from building, circuitry, and engineering challenges to coding, robotics, 3D printing, photography, and videography.

The Innovation & Technology Teacher will:

Design and deliver hands-on, project-based lessons in innovation, engineering, and design thinking.
Guide students through the full creative process—from brainstorming and prototyping to testing and presenting.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate technology and design into core learning.
Foster a maker mindset and nurture curiosity, creativity, and resilience.
The ideal candidate will bring:

Elementary classroom teaching experience (required).
Experience teaching Innovation, Design, Maker Space, and/or Technology in an elementary setting.
A passion for guiding students through hands-on design, innovation, building, and engineering projects.
A creative, maker, and innovator mindset—able to inspire joy in discovery while balancing structured skill-building.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and families.
