Position Purpose: We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Robotics Instructor to join our after-school program team. The Robotics Instructor will be responsible for teaching students in grades 4-7 how to design, build, and program robots using the VEKS program. No prior experience with VEKS is necessary as training will be provided.
Specific Expectations for P-8 Faculty & Staff:
Essential Functions
Teach robotics concepts and skills to students in grades 4-7 using the VEKS program
Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials for each class
Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
Collaborate with program staff and other instructors to plan and implement engaging and interactive lessons
Attend program meetings and training sessions as required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred, but not required.
Passion for robotics and technology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and program staff
Willingness to learn and use the VEKS program
