Middle School French Teacher

Sacramento Country Day School, the regional leader in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade independent school education since 1964, seeks a French teacher in our Middle School for the 2026-27 school year. This position will include teaching three or four sections of French in Grade 6, 7, and 8. Candidates will also be prepared to integrate themselves into the life of the school, including, but not limited to, teaching one to two elective courses, serving as an advisor, and chaperoning field trips. This is a full-time position with benefits (100% employer paid medical, dental, and vision premiums (for employee only). The salary range is between $52,000 and $95,000, depending on education and experience.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; graduate degrees preferred.
• Experience and expertise that align with our World Languages & Cultures program.
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience and someone who enjoys working with children.
• Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students and colleagues; willingness to be an active, enthusiastic member of the Country Day community.
• Strong commitment to equity and inclusion.

School requirements include: Background check, First Aid/CPR training (school sponsored), negative TB result.

About the school:

Country Day enrolls about 600 students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The Middle School serves roughly 150 students in Grades 6-8. Middle School students are inspired and supported by approximately twenty-five faculty and staff members, who are all focused on the academic, emotional, and social growth of their students.
