Job Title: Admissions Associate (part-time, seasonal)
Schedule: Approximately 10 hours per week from October to March with some flexibility and occasional evening and weekend work)
Compensation: $28-32 per hour
Reports to: Director of Admissions and Enrollment
The Admissions Associate provides direct support to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment in admissions-related responsibilities. This role balances behind-the-scenes support, collaboration with varied staff and volunteers, and occasional family-facing interactions. The ideal candidate is personable, highly organized, and eager to ensure every prospective family feels welcomed and supported throughout their admissions journey.
Primary duties and responsibilities
Administrative
Preparation of admissions materials such as flyers, folders, signs and name tags
Support planning and logistics for open houses, tours, and other events
Assist with scheduling, tracking, and follow-up with prospective families
Conduct light research (e.g., feeder schools, outreach opportunities, competitor programs)
Enter and update data in our admissions database (Finalsite) and utilize basic programs (Google suite, Canva) to execute tasks
Ambassadorship
Greet and host prospective families at events and occasionally assist with tours
Coordinate with volunteers and staff to ensure a smooth admissions process
Contribute to marketing and outreach efforts by providing cheerful, detail-oriented support
Other Responsibilities
Additional admissions-related special projects as directed
Provide general admissions office support with flexibility and a problem-solving mindset
Qualifications
Strong organizational and communication skills
Comfort with a mix of administrative and people-facing work
Positive, professional, and warm demeanor; enjoys working with families
Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
Familiarity with independent schools or Peninsula School is a plus
Tech comfort (Google Suite required; database/CRM experience preferred, Finalsite a plus)
Team-player who enjoys collaboration

Employees are required to operate a computer and office productivity machinery, communicate across a variety of media, and work in close proximity to others. The role may also require the employee to work in inclement weather during special activities.
