Mount Tamalpais School, MTS, a K-8 independent school serving 240 students in Mill Valley, California is looking for an Advancement Associate. This staff member will support our Admissions and Development Offices in their work to advance the mission of the school.

Position Description
Reporting to the Director of Advancement and the Director of Admissions, the Advancement Associate is responsible for a wide range of advancement functions including:

  • Database management
    • Admissions – Ravenna
      • Generates reports
      • Leads annual system rollover, including application/form review and event set-up in Ravenna
      • Insures individuals are registered for events and moves applicant families along in the system
      • Processes applications and supports Admission Committee Members through Ravenna Committees
      • Transitions enrolled student data to current student databases
      • Requests and tracks transcripts for new student files
    • Advancement – Bloomerang
      • Enters gifts and generates personalized acknowledgment letters
      • Creates reports for monthly reconciliation with Finance Department
      • Transitions parent data into Bloomerang; updates and adds constituent data as needed
      • Grows alumni database contact information
      • Generates reports for Director of Advancement and Development Committee
      • Website administration: Works with Director of Communications, updates and maintains relevant sections of the school website
      • Events: Support Directors of Advancement and Admissions in planning and hosting school events both on campus and off
      • Social Media: Support Director of Communications in generating social media content for related school accounts
      • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • A BA or BS
  • Office administration experience – database management strongly preferred
  • Strong technology skills and
  • Due to the confidential information in these advancement functions, current MTS parents are not eligible to apply for this position.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly, 12-month position. Benefits-eligible.
