Park Day School is seeking a Morning Care Teacher to help open the school and supervise students on campus each morning before school starts.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 – 9 AM (with the potential to add more hours occasionally as an extended care sub or on school camp days).

Responsibilities:

• Open the school grounds and school buildings
• Supervise indoor/outdoor play for school-age students with a positive attitude
• Collaborate with extended care colleagues and Assistant Head of School
• Build excellent rapport with families
• Bring energy and enthusiasm, welcoming families on campus and communicating positive information about students to families
• Channel difficult communication through the Lead Teacher and Assistant Head of School (as necessary)
• Set up and clean up morning care activities and materials

Qualified candidates will:

• Have experience working with and supervising groups of school-age students in school or recreation (camps, teams, etc.)
• Have strong classroom and outdoor activity management skills
• Have the ability to handle multiple tasks and demands at the same time
• Be culturally competent
• Be dependable and on time
• Ask for feedback and support as needed
