Sacramento Country Day School, the leading independent school in Sacramento and throughout the region, seeks to hire a full-time STEM Instructor for our High School and Middle School for the 2020-21 school year. The Role

This full-time position will include teaching High School Advanced Computer Science and High School Math. The Computer Science classes will include the development and implementation of curriculum for a new Computer Science Advanced Topics course in Artificial Intelligence. In addition to the courses taught, the candidate will sponsor/lead a HS Robotics Club, and teach a MS elective. Candidates will also be prepared to integrate themselves in the life of the school, including, but not limited to, teaching courses in the elective program, serving as an advisor, and chaperoning field trips.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; graduate degrees preferred.
  • Experience and expertise that align with our STEM program.
  • Demonstrated successful STEM teaching experience and someone who enjoys working with children.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with students and colleagues; willingness to be an active, enthusiastic member of the Country Day community.
  • Strong commitment to equity and inclusion.
