Mark Day School seeks a collaborative, innovative educator for the role of educational technology teacher and integrator. Candidates should have a passion for teaching elementary and middle school students, experience designing technology-rich lessons and projects, and knowledge of a wide array of digital tools, including Google Workspace, Scratch, and Adobe Creative Suite. The educational technology teacher and integrator reports to the Director of Educational Design and Innovation and works as a member of a team that supports and advances the school’s Media, Technology, and Innovation (MTI) programs. Opportunities and Responsibilities
- Teach MTI skills classes to students in Kindergarten through 8th grade
- Teach a twice-weekly MTI elective class to 7th and 8th graders
- Lead robotics activities and projects
- Proactively engage with faculty and staff to advance MTI programs
- Assist in providing technical support, technology coaching, and technology training to students and teachers
- Model personal standards of excellence: warmth, clarity of expectations, consistency, and accountability
- Employ equitable and culturally responsive teaching practices
- Engage in ongoing professional development
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Relevant teaching experience with a minimum of two years preferred
- Relevant subject area knowledge
- Proven track record of working effectively to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
- Strong skills in curriculum design, initiative, follow-through, organization, collaboration, and communication
Compensation and Pay Range
The compensation range for this staff position is $65,000 – $85,000 annually, depending on experience. The position comes with individual benefits through the school for the employee, vacation time accrual, and professional development support.
