Urban School of San Francisco
The Urban School of San Francisco seeks an energetic, creative teacher to teach in-depth courses in American history at the secondary school level. The 5/9 position includes core courses in U. S. History and may include one or more of our wide-ranging and multicultural electives for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The successful candidate will have a rich background in history, including extensive use of primary sources, and a strong commitment to the teaching of writing. The school is looking for a dynamic teacher who is committed to innovative, student-centered pedagogy; experienced with project-based curriculum design; facile with the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning; avid and effective in collaboration; and committed to their own continued professional growth.

The salary is pro-rated on the basis of the full-time scale that ranges from $76,000 to $128,971. A comprehensive benefits package is provided, which includes medical, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance and the TIAA retirement plan.
