Redwood Day School

Job Description and Desired QualificationsThis individual reports to the Middle School Division Director and is responsible for providing administrative support to this position as well as middle school faculty and students. These support functions include, but are not limited to: database system maintenance, office supply purchasing, typing, filing, reception, telephone duties, and responding to faculty, staff, and student needs. The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (minimum two years clerical or administrative experience)
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with Google Suite
  • Knowledge of general office machines and telephone systems
  • Strong project management and coordination experience
  • Effective organizational structures and methods
  • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others
  • High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
  • Ability and willingness to work some early mornings, evenings, and weekend days

Desired Qualifications:

  • Sensitivity to the needs of middle school students and faculty
  • Experience working in a school setting and partnering with community members
