Full-time Position: High School Physics Teacher

Full-time faculty appointment teaching 9th grade conceptual physics and 12th grade calculus-based advanced physics in The Athenian School’s upper school science department
In addition to teaching three sections of Conceptual Physics and one section of Advanced Physics, all full-time faculty lead an advisory group of 10 students, supervise boarding students on weekends for about 40 hours throughout the year, and lead a weekend community service trip once a year.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or at least 3 years teaching experience in relevant field is required; master’s degree and/or teaching credential is preferred
Demonstrated commitment to education for democracy, justice, equity, inclusion, community service, and environmental stewardship
At least 3 years teaching experience at the high school level, post graduate degree in physics or other closely related field of study, strong laboratory skills, and proficiency in student-centered experiential learning.
