Position Description
Convent of the Sacred Heart High School is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and experienced educator to serve as Academic Support Director for the 2014-2015 school year. The academic support director is charged with supporting all students in developing the academic skills necessary for their success in the school's academic program. The ASD is especially involved in ninth grade students' transition to high school, offering direct instruction in skills for test preparation, daily time management, and general study skills. In addition to serving as the school's testing coordinator, the ASD manages student records and data, including supporting the Head of School with periodic grade updates to parents and working with faculty to interpret trends in student test results.

Competitive candidates will have a background in special education, educational neuroscience, secondary education, or the like, and will be well-versed in educational technology and the special needs of students with learning differences in independent high schools.
