Inspiring Leaders of Color – 2022-2023 Cohort
September 27 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm PDT
An event every month that begins at 5:30 pm on day Fourth of the month, repeating until October 27, 2022
Inspiring Leaders of Color is a POCIS-sponsored cohort program that will run from September 2022 to April 2023 with the expressed purpose of helping Educators of Color explore leadership opportunities and experiences that will prepare them to take on leadership roles within Independent Schools. The Inspiring Leaders of Color cohort program is an affinity space for those who identify as BIPOC.
Topics in this program will include actionable steps to improve future leadership candidacy, the exploration of personal leadership styles and aptitudes, and the exploration of the unique leadership challenges that face BIPOC educators. Through monthly themed meetings, individual and small-group coaching, and targeted work around preparing for different kinds of job trajectories, individuals in the cohort will develop a vision for their own leadership and establish concrete next steps they can take so that they will be ready when opportunities arise.
This program will run September 2022-April 2023. Meeting on the fourth Tuesday of the month, according to the following schedule.
- September 27
- October 25
- November 15 (NOTE date change due to November – Thanksgiving/Day of Mourning Break)
