2026 PoCIS of NorCal Regional Conference: Roots to Resilience, United in Purpose

Date: Saturday, March 21, 2026
Time: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Julia Morgan School for Girls, Oakland, CA
Join the NoCA PoCIS community this spring as we continue our theme, Roots to Resilience, United in Purpose. Together, we’ll celebrate the brilliance, leadership, and resilience of educators of color across our region while uplifting our shared work, collective voice, and the joy we create in community.
The day will feature:
- An inspiring keynote from Elena Aguilar, a renowned educator, coach, and advocate for transformational school communities
- Engaging workshops facilitated by POC educators, designed to deepen understanding and build skills for creating inclusive, student-centered communities
- A closing social hour to connect, reflect, and recharge together
We invite educators of color to share their expertise by submitting a workshop proposal aligned with our theme. Proposals should inspire action, offer meaningful takeaways, and speak to the challenges and opportunities facing people of color in our schools. Workshop proposals are due Friday, January 9. Submit your proposal here.
