Berkwood Hedge School is seeking a part-time Music Teacher to lead a K-5 music, singing and performing arts program. The program begins with a strong Orff base and expands through the grades. We aspire to have a music program deeply integrated into the culture and life of the school, through assemblies, performances and integrated into the classroom curriculum. Teaching experience required. Orff and Kodaly training preferred.

Experience planning and implementing a differentiated and integrated curriculum.
Ability to develop and align a constructivism curriculum
Ability to provide customer service to BH families with frequent, engaging, and informative communication.

In addition to a music teacher, we are seeking someone who can lead a music program that integrates movement, culture and maybe even social justice. The program would be offered after school and include performances and other events, including cultural field trips, an annual sleepover at the school, and whatever other flavor you want to add…Berkwood Hedge students and children from the greater East Bay community would participate for a fee.
Thee two positions can be combined.
