The Flex Teacher is responsible for providing K-8th grade curriculum and program support. This position will report directly to the Lead Teacher of the Elementary School and will collaborate with Beacon Day School teachers. The primary responsibilities includes supporting the social and academic well-being of all elementary school students by collaborating with classroom teachers in the planning and teaching of specific lessons. This position is designed to support students in learning, practicing, reviewing and mastering the skills taught in the program. The Flex Teacher supervises students on the playground and at lunch time and may accompany classes to the specialist subjects. This teacher also helps to cover K-8th grade classes when the lead teacher is out.
The successful applicant will have at least a Bachelor’s degree.
The candidate will possess knowledge of and experience in child development and teaching techniques and skills. Hold effective instructional delivery techniques and student management.
