Responsibilities:
The Lower School Administrative Assistant works with the Lower School Head as the main support for the planning, scheduling and smooth operation of the Lower School. The Lower School Administrative Assistant is the primary link between the Lower School Head’s Office and the Lower School community of faculty, parents and students. This position requires strong communication skills, calendaring for the LS Head and LS activities, event planning and managing the LS office functions. This person is centrally involved in organizing Lower School events.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree is required. Essential to this position is the ability to demonstrate strong communication skills; a warm, comforting manner with young children; a courteous and helpful demeanor when working with parents, faculty, administration and visitors; and the ability to maintain a smooth, efficient, professional tone in the Lower School Office. A minimum of 3-5 years experience supporting a high-energy multifaceted learning environment is preferred. Advanced technical skills, with both Mac and PC, in Blackbaud database management, and Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred. This position requires a detail-oriented, flexible work style, and the ability to uphold the highest standards of work and ethics, often with attention to confidential information.
